lol, deep words. I hear you on mix down, EQ quality is lack luster. A lot of my older tracks are just missing certain frequencies but I egotistically fawn over the automation gymnastics :)

I'll definitely keep the higher ends in mind. I might be cutting them too much.

And if you're curious, the drums are EZ Drummer and the guitar is a Sytrus preset filtered through the FL plugin Hardcore, with an automation set to one of the Sytrus channels for fake palm muting. The clean guitar in the intro is just a FLEX preset. FL Studio comes with a lot of good presets that can get you pretty far with minimal tweaking. My approach to making tracks is "what's this button do".
